John-Michael Collins was born in north-eastern Colorado on April 17th of 1993!

The song “Come Sail Away” by Styx, the distinct smell of oxygen supply tubing, medical soap, a red wagon, and a Big Wheel tricycle… These were his first few memories in life which came days after March 19th of 1997.

In the peaceful midst of night, one of my sisters had woken me up telling me to move into bed with mom and dad. Around 3am, Mom woke up and said to dad “Michael’s not breathing.” She called 9-1-1 while Dad performed CPR. Soon thereafter, police and medical responders rushed to the scene. (I randomly met one of them recently!)

An ambulance and helicopter ride later, Mom, Dad, and this sweet baby boy were at the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. A rare autoimmune disease called Polyarteritis Nodosa crept in to steal precious life. Fortunately, it failed!

All that being said… Miracles like you happen every day.

Don’t think your dreams are unattainable. 20 some years later, John-Michael answered a call to be in the acting industry and is turning a dream into reality! Nothing would be possible without his family, friends of all sorts, and most importantly, Jesus Christ.

So far...

John-Michael appeared on set for different commercials, music videos, a few indie projects, and is also involved in much, much more. Right now he’s busy improving his craft and enjoys time with family and friends, coffee, his longboard, rock walls, surf boards, dance floors, books, the Church, and his world!

I like to think there’s a unique and intricate path for each one of us to understand our full potentials.

If you’ve made it this far… Thank you for visiting and I would love to connect if you’re interested in working together on a project.

Please enjoy this excerpt I found in a letter from 10-year-old me.
